Most of all making a mistake and having my family and friends say "I told you so".....I truly believe that we ARE who we choose to spend our time with (Jim Rohn quote), however, it rings so true. 

A few minutes into the new property my GC receives a call “ Hey there are some guys here who say they own the property”,“Ok we are just finishing up here and will be back shortly”A few minutes go byPhone rings again, “ Hey the cops are here”“Ok we are on the way!”

I would love to bend anyone's ear that can offer insight, or simply follow along with another "newb" as we begin this endeavor.Happy New Year!

I went down yesterday to ring their bell (it's second floor of a multi-family) and no answer.Should I be concerned?

Here it is, and since I'm telling the wive's tale I'm going to say it took place in 1984 when rates on a 30YF were at dystopian 15% to 20% levels: Bank branch manager, after lamenting decreased volume due to higher interest rates (ring a bell?)

I'm doing a lot of listening to podcasts and reading books on real estate investing (starting off with "how to invest in real estate - ultimate beginner's guide to getting started" - thanks Josh and Brandon for a great book :) Also if anyone has a must read book recommendation for a newbie i'm all ears.

Within minutes of the listing being live we had the phone ringing.

Your Cleaners must are your "eyes and ears" and must be on the ball/have attention to detail or you will have angry guests/bad reviews.

I saw the property the 1st day it was listed, while at the house speaking to the agent she literally was receiving offers for the house and the phone was ringing off the hook with people trying to see the property.
