I doubt you could force the buyer without the mtg being released, in spite of any indemnification offered I’d be talking to state/fed lending regulatory agencies about Midland’s refusal to record a satisfaction in a timely manner.

I had the credit report run through cozy and it gives me the following info:Contract Callers Inc ACCOUNT SERIOUSLY PAST DUE DATE / ACCOUNT ASSIGNED TO ATTORNEY, COLLECTION AGENCY, OR CREDIT GRANTOR'S INTERNAL COLLECTION DEPARTMENTBut it does not give me any info on the cause and what the original debt is for.

Most all are rented with government agency subsidized rents such as Section 8, as all bills paid units.

Similarly; if you've put your money into a project and the project is in jeopardy of going sideways, you're more likely to lean into it and get it done and either sold or rented vs walking away because you're losing someone else's money.They also don't go to 100% because it costs money to foreclose and if they're already at 100% loan to value, they lose money if they even have to enlist a collection agency much less foreclose.
