Maybe target areas that have a lot of tourism year round.

You make a good point Martin Saenz about someone always wanting to sell their portfolios.I was watching a video of some guy I find interesting who teaches and has a school for teaching English as a Foreign language in Vietnam and he was answering a question as to whether the market is getting saturated.He made the point that there is more people “discovering” Vietnam but people don’t stay there forever.

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM,So I am trying to be creative in financing my first duplex; I have a couple options, FHA, a first time home buyer conventional loan from local credit union or private lender (my dad).  

There is great opportunity depending on the city you are in, zoning,  the vacation rental market, tourism, and inventory of available vacation rental properties.

To encourage tourism in some of the less popular spots Italy is giving away free properties for developers to restore them. 

Lots of retirees, vacationers, beach culture, tourism dollars and of course friendly Carolinians.

Just get a property manager and manage the property from back in Vietnam.
