So probably keep them out of hot water.There are 12 states and maybe a few more where Commerical purpose business loans still require NMLS and state license.

I would be cautious on a commerical loan thinking the bank wont call it.. but it you have the cash to cash it out then risk is probably not great.. risk is to your dad... if bank puts it into default there goes his credit
