The bad news about dog urine/smell in carpets is that the urine travels thru thru the carpet and then into the padding and onto or into the subfloor, what ever that may be made of.

I REALLY don't want a property full of old dog urine that stinks up the whole place or whatever other damage the dog could do and end up with a ton of maintenance/repair expenses.SO...He's also willing to place an extra pet deposit.

When I smell urine and mold, I see $$$ signs :-)If you are doing a good rehab, chances are you have to replace the drywall anyways.

Take your pick.We have been rodent-free for a few months now though and keep finding bits of insulation: sealed all entry points, cleaned out all the nests/poop/urine, etc. replaced the vapor barrier and have had traps out but haven't caught any or seen any sign of them having returned.
