I would ask the seller to replace or repair the AC so it achieves the requires temperature differential.

When you say the hot water is substantially below, do you mean pressure or temperature? 

This would be easy, but I am concerned that this would interfere with the movement of the siding that is supposed to be allowed as the siding expands and contracts with changed in temperature.
