Not sure getting locked into 1-3 years is the best choice. 

It is possible that hiring an attorney to sue the GP is necessary, but also possible that would be a poor choice. 

I think in most of these areas you'll need to ensure your cash flow is sufficient for multifamily and you have a path for driving valued through increased NOI via increased revenue and/or expenses.

Certainly a bad choice to convey back.
