Has anyone been able to permit hauled water to the desert area or other alternatives if there's any?

Places like the Upper Peninsula in MI could become a lot more populated, and major cities in the desert like Phoenix and Vegas may have some difficulties.

My wife wants to live in Desert Ridge Aviano homes.

I want to slowly transition my business into buying below market deals to renovate and either sell or SRT in the CA desert or in or around the Phoenix area.

That way the cost would come down and be affordable for the people that live on hills or out in the desert or downtown in lots of big Cities where they would never think that they would ever be affected by a flood.

I look at a lot of data here, including some of the big desert land resale schemes where I've bought and sold (California City, Bear Valley Springs, Stallion Springs).  

Spent over two dozen years in the small central coast town of Cambria, CA before moving to the dryer desert for health reasons. 

I totally agree with you, desert land is not as appealing as lush land with greenery.
