Just looking to avoid trouble down the road! 

I took a big 4 day road trip through some cities to look around these past few days and am very interested in purchasing a property to AirBNB. 

In fact the family and I are heading down towards Munster to start our feelers today as part of a road trip, heading further east until Valparaiso to look at all the local neighborhoods. 

For me, everytime I think my life is on a straight road next thing I know here comes an unexpected twist and turn.

As far as being your own GC, also known as 'Owner/Builder', everyone should be aware that most states (California is one, I looked up GA and it seems they may be as well) do not allow an investor to act as a GC on any property except their primary residence, and even then there are limitations.So check local laws before starting down that road.....

The port Authority has just begun construction on a new Business district located up by Pangborn Airport.There is a large road project building a second bridge over the Wenatchee River to downtown to help with future traffic flow the project's estimated cost is over $92,000,000.A secondary Road Project is also happening on the south end of Wenatchee Ave.

Harrah’s Cherokee casino is just up the road and Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is a draw.

Jay, I will give you that there are a lot of yahoos who do stupid and criminal things.

You can convert it to a rental/investment later down the road after you've lived in it, but the intended use when you obtain the loan must be your primary place to live.

In my opinion it creates road blocks that slow investors down.
