If the point is to protect people from themselves then they aren't very comprehensive.

Advertise well (don't be cheap, pay for top ad on Kijiji at least), do a comprehensive screening process, include a credit check (not a free one, pay for it) and ensure you're only renting to people who look really good on paper.

And there's always things you can do like rent abatement or adjustments to purchase price to accommodate your need to find a good replacement property.   

All it takes is to place prefabs for airbnb (luxury service and accommodations for turists) with super safe entries via garage and via roof garden as soon as the air taxi will start to land on those...

My initial thought was that housing prices and rents should continue to rise nearby to accommodate the future workforce and current demand, so rental property could be a good investment approach.
