One I close on that house, I plan to go buy a good lot and get a decent builder to build the next one. 

(I know, nothing is certain but just hypothetically) and all cash out loans are not created equal. if you have a lot of equity you can borrow up to 60% with the lowest rate possible, which would be close to a half point lower then borrowing up to 75% loan to value.

How do they treat people that are close to them?

(For example, IF I was able to purchase the first home (multi-family) outright, paid-in-full, then use a HELOC to pay for the down payment and closing costs for the second home, would that be a smarter approach?)

Find a good realtor, close a deal with them and they will give you their contractor contacts.

The last two hours were with the legal team at MR and they confirmed there can be no other up front charges beyond the one month’s rent cap.

Just because the property can close in an LLC with a DSCR loan, does not mean the loan is made to an entity.
