I’m sure you’re already on top of this but for example, if I were trying to  buy a house with a basement in Silicon Valley, I would need to loosen my criteria.

But as the core of Silicon Valley expanded starting from 2013 (When FANG company suddenly expanded into the Sunnyvale-Santa Clara area and recruited too many engineers), people is starting to invest and move outside the typical San Jose/Sunnyvale/Mt View area to Fremont/Livermore/Dublin.In the last 5 years Dublin also experienced huge expansion, and then people move to Brentwood,Pittsburgh.Some people also move to Stockton, especially blue-collar workers.

They said the same thing about Southern California and Silicon Valley 10 years ago.
