@Ryan Cleary I tend to agree with your thoughts - the ease of management/no maintenance was why I was looking into the 3bed+ luxury condo market.I would prefer to get a STR in an area that we like to vacation a few times a year,Ā using the revenue to subsidize the cost of ownership (which is why appreciation potential is more important to me than monthly cash flow).Finding a newer luxury home that is walking distance to a nice beach in my price range has been challenging.

I understand that anĀ advantage of note ownership is that its typically viewed as a more passive investment (no 3am toilet phone calls) and that is what attracts me to this concept.Ā

We provide housing for Homeless and Addicted people in underserved communities, and in an attempt to revitalize our Downtown area, and expand our Program (part of it is home ownership and entrepreneurship) we need to be able to buy adjudicated properties, or have them donated, then have the finances to redevelop and repair them.
