I’m getting ready to move from Louisiana to Japan and I’m not sure now is the right time with everything else going on in my life.

After travelling to Japan, it's easy to see why the NE needs this kind of transportation.

Why should I fund these big operations by not being able to water my lawn (if I had one) because some idiot who wants to sell almonds to Japan, gets away with using all that water?

In a way reminds me of my logging days.. we were sending all our #1 grade doug fir ( or the majority of it to Japan in the 80s and 90s) private timber that is.. you cant export state owned or federally owned timber. 

I had been out of the game for many years after moving to Japan and selling off everything in the US (a regrettable necessity at the time) and downloaded his book to start getting back into REI.

Heard a story on CNBC that even though Japan has one of the highest amounts of issued sovereign bonds, that they basically trade by appointment with according to CNBC something like only a billion dollars a day trading hands.  

My wife and I just moved back from Japan will be stopping in Seattle as we tour parts of the country that we are considering settling in.We would love to meet local residents and learn more about the investment climate in and around Seattle.

. ;)I'm probably a rarity, in that I was born in one country (Israel), migrated to another (Australia) and then married into a third (Japan) - so for me, investing out of state, country or continent was a no-brainer.
