I plan to utilize all of them and could use all the advice I can get.Also,I plan to target an area that is about an hour away from where I live.I know that is supposed to be a no,no.Every thing I have read says start in your home town but I go to this area alot for dining and shopping and am fairly famaliar with it.It is one of the best markets around and I live in a small resort type town with very slim pikins and very inflated prices.Am I making a mistake?

Hey Melinda, My parents did a good job raising me, and luckily, as my grandmother so elegantly used to put it "I wasn't born yesterday"Anyway, IMO - I've fended off about 3 separate cases where I believe this would have been the outcome.

Take out costs for cont. education, transportation expenses, personal office type expenses, and the show and tell expenses to dine a client, take home after taxes is very slim for most Realtors.It is or can be an extremely stressful life and I understand the sence of urgency Realtors have in wanting to ram a deal through the maze of requirements.

Anyway, we looked at a house about three months ago... 2 bed (although there is a large finished attic that could be 3d bed) 1 bath 890 sq feet Nice unfinished full basement 2 car garage Needs kitchen redone (flooring in kitchen & dining room, plus new counters/cabinets).

It also has a small front room (sort of a combination living room and kitchen), and a couple of people commented that it wouldn't work for them because they have a lot of dining room furniture.I had the exterior of the house repainted, the doorbell replaced and the front stoop retiled (some of the tiles were broken).
