What would be some of the other advantages/disadvantages?

So i am not a w2 employee, so it seems im already at a disadvantage when it comes to the loan process. my credit is mid 700's and building slowly . im 24 and hoping to have 10 plus rentals by 35.

Unfortunately, and I think you'll agree with this, in a marketplace that doesn't honor this mentality, we are putting ourselves in quite a bit of disadvantage - at first, anyhow.

You don't want to put your unit at a disadvantage because of an unusual floor.

I have heard some of the advantages to getting a license (e.g. access to MLS, saving on commission costs, access to viewing more properties, etc.) but I was curious: as an investor, what are some of the disadvantages to getting a license in the state of California?

But from everything I've been reading on this site, having the cash is an advantage for me rather than a disadvantage because once I find a GREAT deal I can buy it without any strings attached, and maybe even take a little longer at the beginning without worrying as much about holding costs.

Investing in both countries as you have pointed out has its advantages, disadvantages and appeal.

There are some disadvantages compared to SFR but the advantages far out weight them. 

For an ambitious REI it is  a bit of a disadvantage.  

Do I simply write a company check to that individual every month in his personal name and are there any tax advantages/ disadvantages to using private money?
