The problem with owning a property in your own name is there is no anonymity or protection.

The pros would be cheaper insurance and anonymity from my tenants.

My plan would not be to remain anonymous throughout this at all.

Its just another way to be anonymous.

I think it is brilliant and Scott makes a perfect argument for why you should be structuring your properties for anonymity as well as why an umbrella policy isn't the "cure all".

It would also put the handyman into a very awkward position, if he ever has to go there again and they now see him as an enemy and could potentially set him up for something.You could send an anonymous tip to the police, but that could result in them doing some buys and maybe breaking down the doors for arrests.

I am still looking for a local group to join, but it seems people like to sit behind the computers and be anonymous so will not hold my breath thinking I will find a local group to join in WA.

They often use cheap and anonymous pay-as-you-go mobile phones.

Also, after this thread fades, is there a way to delete it or make it anonymous?
