If so, I work in the medical field and would be able to jump on some travel jobs to show proof of employment for the new state. 

Do a HELOC on it and then take the money and buy another investment property in New York or or a landlord friendly state or a place you'd like to travel often and then use it as an AIRBNB the remaining time.

I've decided, starting off, that I'd like to try renting apartments in my current market (Jacksonville, Florida) then furnishing them and offering them to traveling professionals on AirBNB and/or furnished finder. 

There is time to travel and view properties and interview people.
