One thing you should know is that there are a lot of fees and expenses to be a successful agent and, according to NAR, the median annual salary of full-time agents is only around $48,600 before fees, marketing expenses, etc.

That requires additional disclosures are requirements from NAR, TAR as well as the Texas Real Estate Commission

MLS, MCAR, CAR, NAR, Supra, EO, Docusign, etc etc.  

In fact, there was just news that the NAR just banned pocket listings.

(NAR) National Association of Realtors has some of the best real estate data that nobody knows about.

@Sean Starkey  I'd just take the classes then, and not sign up and pay all the fees for the test, MLS fees, E&O insurance, key card fees, lock box fees, brokerage fees, NAR dues and all the other fees which are probably $2000/year or so to stay active.

NAR also puts out good information.

I also crawl some of the listing sites, market reporting companies like NAR, and economic and demographic data in the North East.
