Immerse yourself in self education.

Although I'm not actively looking for deals right now, I am still immersing myself in REI through books and research on BP.

You can immerse yourself in all things STR by spending time here on BP and researching which podcasts interest you.

:)Right now, I got up first thing in the morning, made my coffee, dug into the BP boards so I keep myself immersed in the REI community, and I'm working on sessions and authentication in my development efforts.As you can probably assume, REI is my side hustle, but as @Tzook Bar Noy said... for now.

I have been considering a career change, and even have an idea of how to reasonably transition into real estate full time by becoming an agent and truly immersing myself in the market.

All that said, Scott Meyers has a great immersion program if you want to give this a shot.

Now for the actual question:With all this free time, I have immersed myself in learning all about REI for the past 3 months and find it exciting.I am currently deciding between RE investing and dental practice investing (I have never owned/run a practice) as a way to creat more passive cash flow.  

I immersed myself in videos and books about Real Estate.

You should start by knowing your own Financials, immersing yourself into the world of short term and all the issues.

Definitely a long game player here so that seems like the move.
