Go back and verify that the Neutral and Hot are not crossed - - This WILL ruin equipment which has a three pronged cord and gets mated to a two prong outlet via a converter.Any hardware store can provide an outlet polarity tester ~$7-$8

We have major electrical, plumbing and hardware suppliers to the trade.  

In my opinion, they certainly aren't trendy, but they aren't going to look dated in 20 years, either.Changing out the hardware can really update a kitchen, rather than re-doing all the cabinetry.

If not, can you purchase a window or portable AC unit from the hardware store then ask the tenants if they can use this so that you can save money to replace the AC unit in winter.

I usually don't have extra sheet rock laying around, so I go to Home Depot or any hardware store and by a metal mesh patch. 

Just recently a tenant took all the hardware off the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen.

I previously worked for Sears Hardware, Lawn & Garden lead, but paint department was right next to me, Kilz was the #1 primer sold and always needed to be re-stocked.
