Hey @Robert Hernandez, I recently armed a vacant property for a similar reason and so far it has dispatched the police twice after local bums broke into the place. 

Contracts formed for an illegal purpose aren't just "voidable", they're automatically void.That means that you don't have a leg to stand on in court and that you can even be sued for "fraud in the inducement" (you didn't have both the means (money) and the intent to close on the property). 

Are you talking about GCs who can bid for a whole/part of a project, or do you go to the granular level and get 5 sources for each material/component type before inducing bidding competition (i.e. 5 drywall teams, 5 painting services, etc)?
