hi everyone,i am in the process of analyzing a duplex, and I've just learned some new info about and I'm wondering what I'm missing about the implications of the following details:-duplex is tenanted already; duplex is priced quite low for the neighborhood, so interior condition is unknown-property is a duplex via an addition. it was originally built as a sfh.

The house next door rents for $350 per night and it's just a standard house with no pedigree.With that said, corporate events and weddings would be the big revenue generators supplemented by guided tours when the house was not rented.What I would do is renovate the interior of the house to match the interior of the Brady Bunch TV Show.

Considering possible interior and exterior damage from the large dog of the remaining tenants, and other damage that may not become evident until prepping house for next tenant, how can we handle the refund of security deposit to MIL couple, since, per the text of the lease: “All Lessees are jointly, severally and individually bound by, and liable under, the terms and conditions of this Lease.”?

Semi flip-in: The VA loan limits me from buying a true fixer-upper, but it seems that as a single guy I might be able to find an older house that will pass VA inspection but is unpopular with families because of an outdated interior.

Not sure if you have done or plan to do any occasional interior inspections ( with notice ) or if that is written into your lease .. but something to consider .
