So far, I’ve only invested in stocks and the idea of investing in real estate seems somewhat risky to me.With this being a real estate forum, of course there will be bias as it relates to the stock market vs. real estate.

Still open to market ideas (so if you have any ideas, please share!)

The other two have a mix of ideas.   

I like the idea of getting additional liability protection on both the property + a commercial umbrella policy as we are planning on growing our portfolio.

Then you would know, that purchasing something that is losing money from the get-go is an unwise idea.

I have no idea if that is the case in the area where you building is, but it is something to research and look into. 

I had an interesting topic my business partners and I have been discussing for quite some time and I would like the advice of you all.

Do you have a region in mind to buy in or are you just exploring the idea?

Also the idea that occupying a 'piece' or 'portion' of property allows for AP is flawed.
