Thanks in advance. if it were me i would buy something i can house hack but the above is really very limited information so it really will boil down to personal preference.

Requiring the homeowner to replace the pipe individually would seem like a huge octopus of inspections and enforcements and etc.

Anyone who is interested I’d be happy to share a quick survey to help narrow down your preferred investment types / interests.

Its my understanding that the individuals are responsible for all the legalities, contracts ect to make it safe not to get ripped off.

Seems like a lot of folks prefer SFH, but I bought a Townhouse because it seems like it is easier to maintain (HOA covers external, landscaping, and neighborhood amenities).

I like how even though you rent to the working class individual and they aren't $100K+ homes.  

(systolic pressure rising so won't get into that)And many less experienced individual investors in SFRs don't do as well as others and "well" means what could you have done otherwise.

If you prefer to be close to the restaurants, bars and nightclubs, you might be better off in or closer to the town although Tulum isn't that big so you have access to everything from the beach area as well.

I think this will work because this 16 unit will function more like 40 units with 40 individual renters.
