Cosmetically, it needs lots of updating, and it doesn't have some standard amenities like parking and central air that most expect in this neighborhood.

The units were causing so many issues that rather than having a tenant call describing no air every month it was better to replace the units.

I am an electrician by trade and own a 1916 home myself so the commonly frightening buzzwords such as "knob and tube", "plaster walls", and "asbestos tiles" don't carry quite the same weight with me but it will be nice to have someone who is as objective as possible.If you feel comfortable answering, could you share what you budget for repairs on these older properties?

This is  pretty spot on,  Its also  safe to say that town  off the speedline like  Audobon, Collingswood  and all of the Haddons were  mostly built in the early  1900's  similar to Philadelphia so even with a  rehab  I would  higher the  cost of  repairs  withholdings  close  to  8 to 10% and  youll have  the majority with Knob and Tube!
