The area is BOOMING with massive amounts of jobs and retirees moving into this Space Coast Florida neighborhood surrounding by massive tourism, residential, LARGEST DOD Contractor and Space Industry, and other industrial developments that have already expnded greatly with pre-approved  expansion to take place over next 10 years.

There isn't much tourism here, but if you like to fish or hunt there are plenty of opportunities for that.

Good areas for familles with good schools and not tourism areas.As a foreigner investor in US we can not take a mortgage easely so we pay cash.

I think looking at the STR market here first is wise - we have a growing tourism economy - but finding a company to manage your STR may be a task. 

Our industries are "outdoors" (BLM is relocating its headquarters from D.C. to here in GJ), tourism, agriculture, oil & gas.

Just from being around town in Blowing Rock it seems like tourism has been holding fairly strong up here.

I will only consider true vacation rental markets such as Gatlinburg (although there are various others that produce great cash flow as well) for STR’s/Airbnb property because the economies of those markets have been dependent on tourism and short term rentals since well before I was born.

Lack of tourism = less jobs = population regression. 

The city likes the tourism we bring in.
