You might have other options to explore to drum up liquidity (HELOC, Margin Loan, Policy Loan, etc) that can supplement your HYSA in the DP.

I don’t see where a rental would make sense, so I’m trying to look at other options to cover the monthly payments until the market goes back up.  

Certain markets are softer than others but there are other pockets that are still growing quickly in value. 

@Nicole ShoafYou are correct and have equity locked up in those units, a good lender can give you options on HELOCs or other loan products that could help get some equity out without selling.

Having the VA option is certainly a benefit and we're excited to get started now.

It felt like everyone I found were self-serving, looking to line their own pockets, or not willing guide because of fear of competition.
