Still holding on to my best holdings with great cash flow-7 properties scattered in several states (Chicago, Indy, Memphis, Atlanta).Lastly, I did not do a 1031...but still paid no taxes on any gains due to being able to pool all my depreciation losses that carried over from year to year unused and applied to offset the gains in the sales of these properties.   

It looks like the city has a lot to offer, and the potential is decent (Gulfstream alone has 65 open job opportunities right now).The crime maps I've reviewed are pretty scattered, with safe and unsafe pockets intermixed (that is, there's no clear "safe/unsafe zone").

My properties are scattered across the province & are mainly commercial, but I do have a number of Residential units including some Airbnbs in The Valley.

Welcome to BP Brian,my wife and I live in Fort Wayne, but her entire family's scattered throughout Michigan from the UP all the way down to Lowell.

When back east I noticed multis 2,3,4 plexes could be found in nice neighborhoods and scattered throughout the Countryside.

Rents are currently scattered between $425 and $525 per month.
