FAR outweighs the whatever results that the fancy formula comes out.Simple approximation (like the Rule of 72), coupled with an awareness of the moving parts, is 100x better than being perfectly accurate of unrealistic assumptions.

you did not mention what type of real estate investing your doing so I will assume your referring to buying and renting.Real estate may not be as liquid as other investments.Real Estate may take up more of your time than other investmentsReal Estate may require more cash to start than other investments.But the positives out weigh the negatives when you buy right.
