If there was a good faith effort by the county to actually enforce their end of the deal, for the "safety of guests", I would agree. 

Condo fees are bound to continue to go up because of the new legislation here in Florida.

Call code enforcement. 

I checked with Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement and they said the units would I would have to have fire walls between the living spaces and would have to submit drawings before I had the work done.  

I invest in a lot of rural markets and there is zero affordable housing, and many of the communities have vacant slips.These trends will become more prevalent over the next few decades and you will see legislation dealing specifically with these trends.

There  are a few general signs and an occasional email when people complain...bottom line they really dont enforce it.

The standard court process for enforcement is notorious to take forever, and given the history I doubt anything will ever change with them.

Tankless are a PITA.Tankless require descaling up to annually depending on water and if you fail to descale as needed the warranty is not enforceable.
