I will also advise her that if she is considered that there might be problems in the future that her best bet is to report the incident to the authorities and having that on file will help her join responsibility.Also as everyone has said, I'm just a small time private investor.

Hello,I need an umbrella insurance for the three properties I own and my insurance agent came back saying she could offer commercial insurance up to 1M per incident and 2M in total.I asked for the policy to see what is covered and what is not but she said she was not allowed.does anyone know what is the difference umbrella and commercial insurance is there any good reason to prefer one vs the other?

[b]Hi guys,I have someone who is trying to sue me in regards to a slip and fall incident who claim they fell on my steps going to basement.I do NOT think this person has a leg to stand on as this person is a liar, a drunk and many other things. there is NO negligance on my part and I have a pregenant woman and a 68 year old women going up and down the same stairs daily.However with that being said, I am reluctant to go to my Homeowners insurance policy with this issue for fear of them raising my rates or possibily dropping me.
