It can be debated if I made the correct decision to heloc over refinance while rates were low.

Looking for some insight from experienced STR's about whether or not guests would be turned off by the presence of exterior security cameras (definitely nothing inside the house - except inside the garage which likely would not be accessible to renters - debating that).

the pros and cons of an LLC is a subject of hot debate here on BP and frankly most message boards. 

There's debate about this but personally, I think buying in an LLC makes more sense for liability reasons IF you plan on buying more than just one and UNLESS you plan on getting financing from either FHA (you have to live in a unit, but can buy up to a fourplex) or one of the 10 Fannie Mae investments loans individuals can get that have to be in their name.
