Does he need the money for cancer surgery?

I am about to medically retired in a few months due to cancer (already had surgery)  I have adequate pension income and have a very diversified portfolio ($700K of 401K, devident stocks, IRA, annuity, 200K cash in the bank, no debt and Have inherited a couple property overseas.Question:  Is this rental a poor investment (3% annually net income?)

Although I would like to know if a applicant is likely to break my lease by dying of cancer. 

Most people are happy to give you one if you have your own cancer sticks. 

Your children will get brain cancer.

The seller got cancer, cannot work, and needs to liquidate assets.

The developer recently found out that he has cancer and needs to get out from under the property and is not able to complete the project.

I was a little bit put off about how many times he felt he had to mention that he was a cancer survivor, as if that had anything to do with flipping homes.

He was also undergoing cancer treatments which were going to be canceled if he didn’t pay some of his bills by the end of the week.
