I am a successful real estate investor who recently acquired his real estate licence to help people achieve the same kind of success and I thought what better way then to write down everything I know into a short compact book full of important information.

My primary interest lies in the Houston market, but I’m open to exploring other areas as well.So far, I’ve read The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner and am currently working through The Book on Managing Rental Properties.

That means reading as many real estate books as you can, listen to an endless amount of podcasts, attend as many meetups you can, and try to find a mentor by finding someone doing what you want to do at a large scale and provide them value (expecting nothing in return).

Besides attending meetups, should I focus on reading specific real estate books or consider investing my resources at this stage?

If they are good they will probably book up quick.

My advice would be to start by educating yourselves through books, podcasts, and connecting with local investors.

In addition to using AirDNA, research active and potential competitor rentals in your target market near Gatlinburg by browsing booking platforms.

Same as @John Underwood @Madheshwaran R..Usually it is to check if they are interested in bookings that I couldn't meet due to either no availability or the rare occasion when and AirBNB and VRBO booking for the same dates at the same time.

I got the same rate that I would get on any direct booking since they could see the listed price online.
