Platforms like BiggerPockets and local real estate meetups (even virtual ones) can be valuable for making those connections.

I am betting that there aren't that many STRs that offer a setup like that in your area. 

It’s smart to research the area's saturation on STR platforms to assess competition, pricing, and occupancy rates.

Hey @Johanna Abanes - I would start by getting in touch with local rehab clinics/hostels and let them know what you're thinking, they will be able to better guide you than anyone on this platform (most likely) 

You might not be able to get the full amount you were wanting back in the cash out, but I am willing to bet you could get something if you own it outright. 

I use PropStream and other platforms to find properties under market value.

This is a great platform to meet other investors, realtors, lenders, etc. that can help build a team around you.

I have not tried to use the debit card at a ATM for cash withdraws, but I bet there will be fees, so I probably will just us my old ATMs.I have noticed that their website is a little clunkier than Bank of America.  

Since you're not keen on long-term tenants, STR on platforms like AirBnB is a great option, especially given Carlsbad's allowance for STRs in the Coastal Zone.
