BUT, I think if every single landlord on this site and other sites like it used "one" (index finger raised) site for "bad tenants" and others joined when needed, a database could eventually build up over time.

. , That is my attitude and I am becoming active in my local investment club crossing my fingers looking for a reliable flipper who is short on cash or time.

The investors will always point fingers no matter who is at fault,  and if its bad enough and litigation ensues then the portal and the sponsor will get dragged into it...
