I know some here are nixing the idea and wanting the best deal they can find so turn their nose up at it.

I'm talking head down, nose to the grind stone, geek out sessions where we develop in depth and thorough spreadsheet checklists and systems for data organization.

It seems that you have a very sensitive nose, so when shopping for your next house, make sure that you make it clear to the agent that you do not want a house with bad odors. 

They'll last longer, they'll burn less electricity, and  you won't pay through the nose in up-front costs.
