His group does property management, and they are a sharp outfit.

J martin from Oakland if anyone knows him he has travelled the world now for a few years.. sharp investor.. but he is not sitting around trying to figure out how to go from 0 to 4000 doors in 18 months.. he is living the life while he can.. 

The trick is to keep the scraper truly RAZOR sharp.

for Portland folks I always recommend the Rarebird meetups.. these actually have great content and guest speakers . the casual meetups around town to me personally are not worth fighting through the traffic.. its more social time.so if want want to go a meeting that has some real content and run by a couple of sharp investors this is the one to go to in my mind.

Especially if you plan on ever representing investors on the buy/sell side, it will definitely help you stay sharp all the deals in your area since you are seeing what works for your most successful clients.
