I don't like to self promote at all, but I'm going to in this case (search key word RareBird and I'm sure you'll see some recommendations for our networking meetings here on BP) as our speakers in August are soon to be retired engineers.

There are many folks who will tell white lies in this direction which I cannot promote so think being honest is the most sincere way to generate a response without imposing on them.

Some people hedge their bets, and go 50/50 fixed/variable (or some other ratio according to their best gambling/research beliefs, but then focus on paying one down quicker than the other once rates actually change). 

Now a quick disclaimer I am not in no way shape or form affiliated with roof stock nor am I paid to promote them or anything like that so invest at your own risk!

To back up that belief, my wife and I dedicate a minimum of 10% of our income to giving each month, and we also make additional one-off donations as well to charities that positively impact our local community. 

I have been successful in moving up the corporate ladder but my income seems to be topping out at a more rapid pace than my promotions. 

If you get the promotion try and live at the same level as now (I know it will be hard with another mouth to feed) and put the rest toward that debt.I would go conventional if possible unless you are in a huge rush.

We are forcefed propaganda to reinforce this belief exactly like geese being fattened for slaughter.

@Calvin Liang The only reason syndicators (full disclosure: I am one) are selling in 3-5 years is to be able to share in the promote i.e. disproportionate share of the profits due to the syndicator putting together the deal. 

The idea of “shady paperwork” is usually just a delusion promoted by some.Someone with legal control over the property /estate needs to reach out to the bank if you want to explore the possibility of a discounted pay off.
