The situation in VT with regulations is just terrible right now.

I get being annoyed by the constant adding of rules and regulations from the site, it bothers me as well, but frankly, anyone who wasn't already meeting these guidelines with their messaging shouldn't be hosting anyway.

They'd be a partner and help provide solutions to operational challenges when scaling, we'd bring tech in like Breezeway for scheduling, give them a company card with spend limits to buy supplies, they even ended up landing a deal with a local laundromat to wash and fold there after-hours to make their lives and ours easier.Truly a win-win. 

So all of the neighborhoods in Cleveland will have the same rules and regulations.

now that we know this companies name I suspect some of the SC agents will turn this company in and ask how they can do it while others cant/wont.Jay, do you see all of this regulation as cleaning up the swamp of fly by night wannabes  and resulting in greater deal opportunity for those with the capital, knowledge and experience to comply and profit?  

Some have lots of rules and regulations and are only in it for the education fees.

It is generally a bad time to find a tenant (holidays coming up) but you might have some luck in that the supply of housing is probably very low in the city now.

Thus, if you factor in your 1/2 month lost rent and utilities, plus any costs (even purchasing more supplies) to touch up paint and clean, wouldn't that still be a turnover cost of around $1000 (give or take since I don't know what your rent, utilities, paint, and cleaning services might be)?

You do have to deal with more regulation, which is the cost of doing business in CA.

However, the short-term rental market comes with added complexities like managing turnover, dealing with seasonality, and ensuring you comply with local regulations.
