Back in my days based in Germany & France there were enclaves of these very small  summer 'cottages' used as get-aways as the majority lived in cramped apartments in the city.

When it comes to supply, you want to avoid oversupply, as it's the best one-way ticket to losing (a lot of) money.I'd avoid Tulum with a 10-foot pole as it's already hugely overbuilt and it's going to get much worse in the coming years.

Those that will be successful can be successful without spending big $ and those that spend the $ look at it more as a lottery ticket unfortunately.

My current ideas that I have are:Create a short term rental property on the land and list on air bnb which caters to those looking for a rural getaway experience.RV ParkCreating a wedding venue.

VIRTUAL ASSISTANCE - I will have to onboard a virtual assistant and train them to handle a lot of the aspects (posting properties, signing leases, managing maintenance tickets, etc).

I believe there is still tickets but if not, I may have one available.  

Can I get away with renovating and renting the unit even though its zoned for commercial?
