Each of these jurisdictions has their separate and distinct building departments and jealously guard their distinct prerogatives over their particular slice of the pie.  

And I can for sure see Commercial brokers taking a slice of a deal in lui of commission .... 

This happens all the time and the risk is extremely negligible, particularly with an old man going into a retirement home.

It's definitely a niche, and I'm the first customer.It's not about a yearly income, more about owning your own affordable slice of heaven (or hell).Thanks for taking the time to comment.

@Scott Po, I would listen to @Russell Brazil.In my experience here on Bigger Pockets, he knows what he's talking about.If you were in The Burgh and told me the same thing about property values coming down significantly in the next six months, especially in my little targeted slice of the city and its near suburbs, I might wee-wee myself laughing.

When you do repatriate retained earnings to Canada, it can come to you as a foreign dividend .. yes, the CRA will still get its slice, but it won't be quite as big.  

it is actually pretty easy to slice through anonymity with discovery if you do anything with the business at all.
