If you're european or japanese with some capital to allocate US treasuries look pretty damn good compared to the sovereign debt available in your home currency.  

Dollar is strong against major currencies as well, which adds to our export headwinds.  

You could form your own lending entity ( seek counsel on this and for ex set up an LLC).

We made money on the rehab of that house, but also from the currency conversion.
