I am not saying all smaller syndications are good places to park your money, and all larger syndications are bad but the smaller syndications who are in pursuit of the smaller checks are doing so because they are the only viable check writer for their projects, not the preferred check writer.

The price is posted, and it's the same with almost every other business.I would go online and do a rent comp analysis on what current market rents for your type unit are getting, and if you're afraid of losing them, then you can give them a discount.If a tenant has a larger space, more amenities, a parking space, then you can add additional rent.

source_impr...Depending on your goals (using it for you and your family a few times a year and hoping it pays for itself, parking some cash for a few years and hoping for appreciation or strictly cash flow) will determine what size home and what your budget should be.
