After I told him I would add $500 to his commission if he can get it done without the "bidding against myself" bs, the "other offer" mysteriously disappeared.This has happened to me too much.I try to look at this reoccurring dilemma quantitatively to provide me with the logical reasoning I need to keep me from flipping over the nearest table every time I get the sense I'm bidding against myself.Say a house is listed and untouched at $50,000 and I come in at $45,000.

If you paid market for the property and it does not matter who you bought it from.. if you want better deals. you need to do your own direct marketing buy them before the wholesalers get them then the wholesaler sell to the turn key contractors then they do their thing there has to be financing cost in there.. then there is sales load.. non of this is a mystery.. its still amazing that they can do all this and still bring product to market and your making 5 to 7% I call that a homerun.
