We'll often use a nice laminate hardwood in the entryway to make a good first impression.For cabinets, we use a chinese made low-end line provided by a local supplier that is nicer than anything you'd get at the big box stores, but still inexpensive (a typical kitchen would be about $2000 in cabinets).
