This notion that cash flow is somehow the measuring stick of what an assets value is, is nonsensical. 

Dropped our first modular home last month (came in two pieces) in California and have to disagree with the notion they are flimsier. 

Not that it didn't happen, but more of the notion that as a business you weren't permitted to raise rent solely because the tenant couldn't pay for it.

And don't buy into the notion that wealthy people pay little in taxes.

Granted, I'm toying with the notion of investing, but not serious about it yet.  

I tried to ask for updated lease agreements, proof of payment, etc. but apparently that's not really something they ask for in the states.Where did the notion come from that proof of income is not requested in the states?

They have never had a successful suit in 30 years so it is a pretty notional only risk right?

I had to break that down to my wife because she was stuck on the notion of "why should we let him make money on something he did no work on" I basically responded with what you said and showed her the comps of what we could sell it for.
