carpet tiles could be a fun look, easy to do, would not be slippery with golf shoes and easy to replace when one gets wrecked... you could change up patterns or colors as you get to different areas???

And it seems, from previous experience, that the less money that tenants put down the more of a wreck their apartment and account balance are when they move.I just wanted to know if this is really necessary in order to keep the place at relatively 100%, but especially how do you recoup any money for move-out damages?

A large portion of that may be due to my age though as I'am not older then a lot of those students.I partied there in high school pretty fun stuff and we wrecked a lot of houses, but in the same breath not every house was a write off.
