I know many think I'm too strong and idealistic on this stance, but it's how I feel - I can't give my money to someone who has no or very limited consequences personally if the investment goes south.- Because of these incentives, only integrity and care for one's long-term reputation hold syndicators back from just raising as much as possible, as often as possible, and deploying the capital as fast as possible.

If you do cleaning yourself, you save on the largest expenses but also limit your ability to scale.

For Canadians seeking to tap into the market in the States, the way the LLC is arranged creates a challenging tax environment and basically leaves you limited return. 

I am not looking to get a real estate license for now, so that has seemed to limit my options as well.

As an aside, I'm voting no on Proposition 33 which is on the CA November ballot - they are trying to limit rent increases between tenants.

That would obviously be the route to go. is there a limit to how much of the account you can use to invest?
